Queensland citizens draws to the attention of the House the downgrading of Mount Nebo Road from a state controlled main road to a council road. By virtue of the impractical council boundaries, this road is now controlled by Brisbane and Moreton councils, and the result is a very poorly maintained road since these councils do not understand country roads and cannot agree on a standard approach to maintain the road.

Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to do all within its power to return the road to main road status and the state therefore resume control of the road and provide sensible maintenance of the road, as they already do for the other roads in this mountain region.
