TO: The Honourable the Speaker and Members of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland
Queensland citizens draws to the attention of the House the Queensland Criminal Code Act 1899, section 323A bans female circumcision for children because it is unnecessary, dangerous and beside the religious imperatives just cruel. It is the opinion of your petitioners, that circumcisions for boys are unnecessary, dangerous and primarily a religious imperative and, in any event, cruel.
Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to add male circumcision for children to the Queensland Criminal Code Act 1899, section 323A.
