School Tours (Primary - Year 9)
Primary - Year 9 School Tour Information
Teachers are invited to book a tour of Parliament House for their primary and secondary class groups (up to year 9) either by phone (07) 3553 6000 or by booking online.
These tours, provided by the Parliamentary Attendants, operate Monday - Friday between 9:30 am - 2:30 pm (see tour times below). The tours start at the Parliamentary Annexe and take approximately 1 hour 30 mins. During the tour you will visit and learn about the Legislative Council (Red Chamber), the Honour Boards, the Mace, the Wind Yarn (the Parliament's didgeridoo), the leadlight window, and, on non-sitting days, the Legislative Assembly (Green Chamber). When Parliament is sitting, you will view the Parliament from the Legislative Assembly Gallery.

Old Government House
Schools who have booked to visit Parliament House may also wish to visit Old Government House which is located near Parliament House.
School visits to Old Government House can be booked by calling (07) 3138 8005 or emailing ogh.enquiries@qut.edu.au
Recommendation to Teachers of touring groups
It is recommended that students utilise toilet facilities in the Botanical Gardens prior to the commencement of their Parliament House School Tour.
