Legal Studies Youth Parliament
The Legal Studies Youth Parliament provides Year 11 and 12 students currently studying QCAA Legal Studies with the opportunity to experience Queensland's law-making process first-hand.
Students allocated a speaking role will:
- debate a mock Bill, or
- speak in an Adjournment Debate
- provide a Private Members' Statement about any issue falling within the jurisdiction of the Queensland Parliament.
Students may also be allocated a non-speaking or scripted role.

Arrival time 8.30am for a 9.00am start

Other important information
- A substantial morning tea is provided for students, teachers and support staff, parents and caregivers who purchase a ticket.
- Wear full school uniform (unless you are a non-uniform school).
- Mobile phones must be turned off and put away during the session.
- There will be storage facilities available for any bags.
- You can have a water bottle with you in the Chamber.
