Legal Studies Youth Parliament
About the event
The 2025 Legal Studies Youth Parliament was held on Friday 23 May 2025, Parliament House (Brisbane).
The Youth Parliament, hosted by the Queensland Parliament, provided Year 11 and 12 students currently studying Legal Studies with the opportunity to experience Queensland's legislative process first-hand.
Students allocated a speaking role:
- debated a mock Bill, or
- spoke in an Adjournment Debate or provided a Private Members' Statement about any issue falling within the jurisdiction of the Queensland Parliament.
Some students were also allocated a non-speaking or scripted role.
