Step Inside with a Virtual Visit

Step inside the Legislative Assembly Chamber and discover how the Queensland Parliament makes laws, represents the people, scrutinises the government, and debate issues facing the community. 

This virtual visit includes: 

  • A live guided tour led by a Parliamentary Education Officer or Parliamentary Attendant. 
  • Dedicated time for students and teachers to ask questions. 
  • Curriculum-aligned content tailored to your year level. 

Who can book this program?

To be aligible to book this program, your school must meet all the following criteria:

Criteria 1 The school is located in Queensland. 
Criteria 2  The school is located 250km or more from Brisbane by road. 
Criteria 3 The class is studying HASS, Civics and Citizenship, Social and Community Studies, or Legal Studies.

Technology Requirements

  • This program is delivered via Microsoft Teams.
  • To maximise engagement, it would be best if we could see (via camera) and hear (via microphone) your class. 
  • We will send you a Microsoft Outlook invitation with a link, once your virtual visit is confirmed. 
  • We offer teachers the opportunity to test a connection before the program, if required. 

Pre-program activity

  • No prior knowledge required. 
  • We will provide a worksheet for students to complete prior to the virtual visit and during the virtual visit.
