This full-day seminar is designed to give public sector officers a detailed knowledge and understanding of the processes and procedures the Parliament uses to scrutinise the actions of Executive Government during Budget Week and through Estimates.
Public Servants will experience visit parliament in the lead up to Estimates, as well as cover topics such as:
- Parliamentary Committees and the nuts and bolts of estimates hearings
- The dynamic role of Department of Premier and Cabinet in the Estimates process
- Hear a Ministers perspective on asking and answering Questions during Estimates
- Understanding Budget Papers
- What a good Budget submission looks like
- Understanding stakeholders' submissions
- Top tips for Estimates Briefs
