TO: The Honourable the Speaker and Members of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland

Queensland citizens draws to the attention of the House the current lack
of early intervention and resources available to juveniles and their
families in circumstances where the children are at risk of physical,
psychological or emotional harm due to their own delinquent behaviours,
or through encouragement or enticement from someone outside the home.

Your petitioners therefore request the House to call for a review of the
current policies and procedures within the Child Protection Act (1999) in
an eclectic approach to strengthening the laws, interventions and
resources available to provide an unconditional response to the child’s
need for protection from harm, even in situations of harm where the harm
is caused by the child’s own actions or by someone outside the home.

Request the House to call for a review of the
current policies and procedures within the
Child Protection Act.
