The Petition of residents of the State of Queensland draws the attention of the House to the rejection by the Heritage Council of the application to heritage list the original building of the Coolangatta State School currently located at Garrick Street, Kirra Hill.
The petitioners request the House overturn the decision as the school building does satisfy more than one criteria under section 23 of the Heritage Act.
