Queensland residents draws to the attention of the House that the 723 bus route between Coomera Station and Helensvale Station does not provide adequate access to the Helensvale Library and Helensvale Plaza for the residents of the two retirement villages that it services, Aveo Tranquility Gardens and Arcare St James. Other older residents who have limited mobility and use the 723 bus route also don't have adequate access to Helensvale Plaza and the Helensvale Library. By making a minor route change that would see the south bound 723 making a right turn onto Lindfield Road to pick up and drop off passengers at a previously used bus stop, then using the roundabout further up the hill to turn around and continue the existing route. Then the north bound 723 would make a left turn off discovery drive onto Sir John Overall drive to pick up and drop off passengers at the same bus stop used by the 725 north bound route, then turning right at Lindfield Road and then left onto Discovery Drive to continue the existing route.

Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to do all in its power to cause an alteration to bus route 723 to provide residents of the two retirement villages the route services access to the Helensvale Plaza and the Helensvale Library.
