TO: The Honourable the Speaker and Members of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland
Queensland residents draws to the attention of the House travelling by car from the suburbs of Moggill and Bellbowrie to areas such as Oxley, Darra, Richlands and Wacol requires a long detour via Kenmore. Transportation costs are ever-increasing and this detour is unnecessary and unsustainable. In 2022, Moggill was cut off for a few days when the Moggill Creek flooded.
Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to do all within its power to gauge the support of residents of Moggill, Bellbowrie and nearby areas to the construction of a vehicle and pedestrian bridge between Bellbowrie and Riverhills.
