Queensland residents draws to the attention of the House that there exists a significant opportunity to create a Far North Queensland tourism destination on the Atherton Tableland that will generate additional income and employment opportunities while contributing to the Activate! Queensland strategy.
Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to do all within its power to ensure Stage 2 expansion of Atherton Forest Mountain Bike Park to enable its development as an international tourism destination that will generate funds to ensure its ongoing maintenance, management and development.
