TO: The Honourable the Speaker and Members of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland

Queensland citizens draws to the attention of the House our deep concern of the continued descent of political and public service integrity in Queensland.

We note that the Crime and Corruption Commission (CCC) provided the Parliamentary Crime and Corruption Committee (PCCC) the legal costs incurred in court proceedings regarding the CCC’s proposed report into the Investigation of allegations against the former Member for South Brisbane, Ms Jackie Trad, concerning the appointment of the former Under-Treasurer.

We also note that the Acting Chair of the CCC stated in a letter that he was happy to provide the costings. However, the four government members of the PCCC hold the majority and combined to prevent the disclosure of the costings.

Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to do all in its power to authorise the release of the costings in the possession of the PCCC.
