Petition

The Petition of residents of the state of Queensland draws to the
attention of the house that the road giving access to the Bunya Mountains
from Maidenwell has a section that is unsealed.

Your petitioners therefore respectfully request that the House require
the Minister of Transport to give his personal emphasis to the importance
of having this section sealed for the safety of travelers along this
road. Your petitioners further point out that the journey for travelers
from coastal areas will be considerably shortened by this sealing thereby
saving fuel and reducing traveling time for consumers. With the
construction of the Maidenwell Observatory being completed in August
there will be a considerable increase in traffic wanting to traverse
between the two venues so a speedy response to this petition will be of
the utmost importance.
