The petition of certain residents of Queensland draws the attention of
the House to restrictions – 1. applying to persons seeking to maintain
personal health and well being by eating a natural diet and in particular
the requirement that bovine milk be pasteurised and that products
manufactured from bovine milk be manufactured from pasteurised milk; and
2. on personal choice inherent in the current regulatory regime which
prescribes the type of foods residents of Queensland may legally buy and
proscribes the sale or distribution of certain whole foods.

Your petitioners therefore request the House to support the efforts by
your petitioners and others to have provision made pursuant to the Food
Production (Safety)Act 2000 to promulgate a regulatory scheme for the
responsible production and sale of unpasteurised bovine milk and products
manufactured from unpasteurised bovine milk.
