Queensland residents of the State of Queensland draws to the attention of the house that :
1. The Mayor, Deputy Mayor and Councillors of the Bundaberg Regional Council have failed to: properly listen to Burnett regional residents concerns; ignored important Burnett regional issues; wasted Burnett regional ratepayers money; and failed to deliver equitable and fair rates for Burnett regional residents.
2. The Bundaberg Regional Council Chief Executive Officer, Chief Engineering Officer and other senior council management staff have failed to properly plan for and deliver basic community services and infrastructure such as drains, roads, rubbish removal, sewage and airport.
Your petitioners therefore express a vote of no confidence in the Mayor, Deputy Mayor, Councillors, Chief Executive Officer, Chief Engineer and other senior managers of the Bundaberg Regional Council and request the house to take all reasonable steps to ensure that after the next local government election all senior managerial positions on the Bundaberg Regional Council are declared vacant.
