The Petition of electors of the Division of Capalaba, draws to the attention of the House that we the undersigned are opposed to the development of 12 x 2 Bedroom Apartments for Public Housing proposed at 35-37 Surman St Birkdale 4159 (Lot 1 on RP209589) Reference: 53980
Your petitioners therefore request the House to either:
a) Resident’s First choice: That the State Government rezone the land into conservation and replant and revegetate the lot to link in with koala corridor.
b) Resident’s Second choice: That the lot be subdivided for houses.
c) Resident’s Third choice: That units are low blocked and similar to the other units at the other end of the street. Those residents that are allocated units are permanent not short term.
